Working on the philosophy that one does not have to seek out ‘news’ imagery to create dramatic and memorable photographs, Julie Millowick has, for the past twenty years, been documenting her own environment. The imagery includes environmental portraiture, photograms, cyanotypes and digitally stitched panoramas that provide an intimate overview of this post-goldrush landscape and the people who live within it.
