Impro Vice is a weekly improvised comedy night in Hobart. It was started by Gavin Baskerville and a team of Hobart comedians to kick start the local comedy scene.

"We didn't have enough comedians to have stand up every week," says Gavin Baskerville.

"So we wanted to have something so that the audience could come and get used to the personalities and the styles."

The mix of different comedians seems to have worked, with Impro Vice performing over 50 shows and selling out it's first birthday gig.

Standing in front of an audience without any scripts or much of an idea of what will happen would terrify most people, but the Impro Vice squad love every minute of it.

"It's like jumping out of a plane," says Tim Logan, one of the original Impro Vice squad members. "It's the most fun you can have on the planet."
