The ultimate Flamenco experience

One of Spain's most successful companies of flamenco dancers, singers, and guitarists, Noche Flamenca celebrates the fiery passion and sensuality of this complex and mysterious art form.

Founded in Madrid in 1993, Noche Flamenca, starring SOLEDAD BARRIO was born from the passion of Artistic Director Mart?n Santangelo and wife Soledad Barrio. Through years of persistence, hard work, and love, Noche Flamenca has developed into one of Spain's most successful flamenco companies.

Since its beginning, Noche Flamenca?s goal has been to maintain the essence, purity and integrity of this extraordinary art form without gimmicks. All aspects of flamenco - dance, song and music - are intimately connected and given equal weight in Noche Flamenca, creating a true communal spirit which is the very heart and soul of flamenco.

Hailed by critics for its transcendent and deeply emotional performances, Noche Flamenca is recognised as the most authentic flamenco touring company in the field today.

Performance highlights in North America include Berkeley's Cal Performances, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, the American Dance Festival, Wolf Trap, and the Hollywood Bowl, among others. Internationally, the company has appeared in Australia, New Zealand, Greece, and Egypt, among others. With annual seasons in New York City and Buenos Aires, and return engagements around the world, the company has a dedicated global audience.

In support of its mission to educate and enlighten audiences about flamenco, the company offers extensive residency programs for people of all ages. Noche Flamenca's artistic integrity has been recognised with awards from the National Dance Project (2006) and the Lucille Lortel Award for Special Theatrical Experience (2003), among others.
