Set on over 225 hectares of picturesque river flood plains, Werribee Open Range Zoo is a taste of African adventure on Melbourne's doorstep.
On the African Walking Trail come face to face with a pride of lions, see cheeky monkeys and cheetah at play and discover a family of hippos in their brand new wild wetland home. Take a walk amongst native Australian wildlife including Kangaroo, Wallabies and Emu on the Volcanic Plains Walking Trail. No trip to the zoo is complete without heading out on the Safari tour through the zoos grassy plains to see an amazing array of animals including rhino, giraffe, zebra and antelope living together in harmony on the open savanna. Werribee Open Range Zoo is located just 30 minutes from Melbourne and all of the above, including the 40-minute safari tour, is included in the admission price to the zoo.
